What do you enjoy?
I enjoy the theater more and more. Theater as such. I like to connect genres and different fields of human activity that are not related to the theater. Like sports. I enjoy working with people. The theater is ideal for this. If there are good stage partners, you don’t want to go home after the rehearsal or performance. These days I enjoy cooperation with director Jirka Adamek and composer Michal Nejtek, with whom we are preparing a performance for the National Theater in Brno.
Where can we meet you?
Except the stage, you can meet me at trek with the rucksack, cinema, theater (in the auditorium), or with jogging shoes.
What are your plans?
I would like to go some way to the project Brundibar from the ghetto. So far, they are just the outlines of ideas, something in the way of art. I still do not give up my search for foreign theater experiences. I fully devote myself to the preparation of the new hAusopera project. The idea of working for a socially useful organization is close to me. In spite of all these experiments, I would like to keep the classical opera technique and develop it in the belcanto repertoire. I am very attracted to songs and chamber music.
What are your nice memories?
I like to remember the interesting meetings that brought me my work. With productions and projects that have enriched me.
Which are they?
Don Giovanni in Pilsen, Little cunning vixen, Il trovatore and Rigoletto for Krumlov, Three Wishes and The secret in Ostrava, Red Mary, Fanciulla del West, Die Kluge and Der Mond in Prague, La Bohéme and Freischütz in Ústí nad Labem, Eva in Liberec, King Theodor in Bratislava, Powder her Face, Devil and Kate, Rules of Good Behavior in Brno, of course the project Brundibár from the ghetto.
What are you looking forward to?
For everything. This season (2017/18) awaits me for three premieres, I will also enter as Caifas in the Jesus Christ Superstar in Ostrava and hope to find some time for my own work.
What would you to say to your fans?
So if they are, I would like to thank them for their support. And all I’d like to say: Go to the theater as soon as possible.
